Microsoft 365 Message center provided a weekly digest summarizing major updates and new features across Microsoft 365 services for March 23–29, 2026.

Key updates include granular file/folder restores in Microsoft 365 Backup (launching early March 2026), Planner tab support in Teams Shared/Private channels (mid-May 2026), and retirement of CAPTCHA for Teams meeting joins (by August 2026).

Copilot enhancements include Excel generation from Notebook content (preview late March–April, GA late May 2026), email triage and rule creation in Outlook (available mid-December 2025 and April 2026), and federated connectors for third-party data (April–May 2026).

Purview updates feature priority cleanup workflow for hard deletes (late May–mid-June 2026), retention support for Teams call logs (late April 2026), and expanded sensitivity label policy targeting (April–late May 2026).

Teams improvements include ad-hoc room reservation (late May 2026), external domain anomalies report (late May 2026), enhanced peripheral health reporting (May 2026), and automatic work location setting via Wi-Fi (May–late May 2026).

Viva Engage adds community management features to mobile apps (March–April 2026), improved feed sorting (May 2026), and flexible targeting for Storyline Announcements (GA late May–June 2026).

Power Platform updates include tenant isolation enforcement for new tenants (March 30, 2026), new alert metrics (public preview March 11, 2026), and end of support for Global Discovery Service API (June 19, 2026).

Security Copilot will be included in Microsoft 365 E5 plans (April 20–June 30, 2026), and Secure Boot certificates begin expiring in June 2026
